Walk with Granada Rutas - Senderismo en Granada

Spanish

This walk follows the Sendero de Las Mimbres in Prado Negro. The walk is 6km long and takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

LONG DESCRIPTION

This circular walk explores the Parque Natural Sierra de Huétor. It starts at the área recreativa Fuente de los Potros and works its way up through a pine forest, with a steep climb up to the highest point and to the acequia. We follow the acequia on both sides for a while and then start walking down to the Cortijo de las Chorreras. There is a wide open space next to the cortijo with fantastic views of the Tajos de los Halcones y de los Corduños and also Sierra Nevada. We make our way back down via some wooden bridges and walkways to the Fuente de los Potros before returning to the starting point.

Note: The GPX time is the time on the GPX file. The GPX might not be accurate if during the walk the walkers went for a meal for example. Naismith is a formula based on distance and elevation.
